We started dating about a year and a half ago and since we're so close to being done with highschool, we've been talking a lot about college and post-college plans. He wants to either go to the Naval Academy or apply for some type of ROTC scholarship. He feels that he's strong inside and out to go into the military, like its FOR him. But, I don't want him to leave. What should we do? If he wants to go into the military, why would you stop him? Nobody wants someone to leave and not see them for a while, but sometimes it’s the best thing for them. Yes it’s hard, but time apart doesn’t always last forever.
